Students working towards the Diploma Theology, Ministry and Mission (validated by Durham University) will complete either two years (full-time) or four years (part-time) of mid-week teaching, as well as attending four teaching weeks, in order to achieve 240 credits.
For the first year, teaching takes place alongside students doing the Certificate. After this, the Diploma goes into greater depth than the Certificate (see below), building on foundational areas, and beginning to shift focus to a more contextual approach. This means that we begin with issues and conflicts that arise in the world and the church, then learn how our theology can both help us address those issues - and at the same time, how our theology might grow deeper as we engage with these issues.
Students working towards the Diploma in Theology, Ministry and Mission part-time will complete their modules spread over 4 years, accessing midweek teaching and one Teaching Week per academic year.
Students working towards the Diploma in Theology, Ministry and Mission full-time will complete their modules spread over 2 years, accessing midweek teaching and two Teaching Weeks per academic year.
